Passing It On

I mentioned at the end of this post (thanks to everyone for all the hair/skin product suggestions, by the way!) that Betsy restored my faith in human kindness with her seriously generous offer to snag me some OPI nail polish at a fraction of the list cost. Unfortunately, her cosmetologist didn't have any of the colors I listed because the colors are from a Sephora-only line of OPI products. (I totally would have known that if I had bothered, you know, READING.) So, Betsy, feeling badly for this even though she had absolutely no reason to feel badly, sent me a gift card to Sephora. A GIFT CARD FOR NO REASON.

Seriously, I'm speechless.

But, it reminded me how GOOD it feels to get things for no reason and how GOOD it feels to give things for no reason, as well. I used to be better at this—the random sending of gifts and cards just to brighten days. Because I'm totally inspired by Betsy, I'd like to give one of you something for no other reason than you undoubtedly deserve it. You deserve a brighter day. (Although, if you live in Texas, I ALREADY KNOW YOUR DAYS ARE HOT AND SUNNY AND BRIGHT AND ARGH, IS IT WINTER YET?)
