Thanks for the nice words on yesterday's post; they got me thinking. In fact, I started a Twitter account to record my progress through this Day One and Beyond phase of things. Twitter is a such great resource for anyone looking for encouragement, help, a sounding board, inspiration, etc., and it's been good to me and for me, too. I hope to share links, recipes, honest truths (i.e. "totally craving a big, chocolate-y cupcake, yo.") and start some great conversations with you about weight loss, healthy living and reaching goals through it.
I'm at twitter.com/runningtofit, which is a name I created in the spirit of running to get fit, but also running to fit into the body I can see and remember, but the body that's been missing for a while. Losing weight and feeling good about yourself isn't just about fitting into a great pair of jeans, but, come on, that's certainly part of it and it's one great reward of it, too. So the name has lots of meanings.
I hope it's the accountability tool I want it to be.

Hey, also, I'm in California this weekend visiting family (and introducing my boy to some of the people I get My Crazy from), but I'm stealing away Friday night for a blogging dinner meet-up in San Francisco. If you're in the city and want to join us, let me know. I'm leaving Kyle with a babysitter (my step-mom), but will be dragging Mike along with me, so you can see he's not made up.

I want to go to San Francisco, yes I just came back from there a month ago, I don't care.

If you don't already have a restaurant picked out, I highly, highly recommend Mona Lisa. Oh my gosh, it was so good. They put SO.MUCH. pancetta in their carbonara. LOVED IT. And then you can run when you get back!

Aw, I'll start following your new Twitter! Agree it can be/is a great place for inspiration and support.
It has been COLD here! Who knew it would snow in the East Bay? Crazy. I hope you have a lovely trip and loads of fun.
