Mike and I went to College Station this weekend for a wedding shower. We spent last night with friends at a few bars. We laughed, we drank and, as you can see, we took quite a few pictures.
This weekend Mike and I went back to the place we met, the place we fell in love, the place we made a million memories. We left a little blue, but together, and I realized as much as I miss that little Texas town, wherever we are, together, is home. And when we can't be with one another, we take it with us. To keep us safe, to keep us grounded, to remind us how lucky we are.
I leave in the morning for New York. I'll be there through Wednesday, for work. I'm flying alone, and I'll be without company until Tuesday morning. It's a wonderful opportunity, and, yes, I'm excited (nervous, absolutely, but excited, of course), but it's always the coming home I look forward to most.
(Happy 4th birthday, Molly!)
