I sort of spectacularly failed at Halloween this year.
Kyle was supposed to go as a pilot and then the flu happened and then vacation happened and we didn't get everything ordered in time.
So, for his school party on Friday he was an Aggie football player. Similarly dressed to this picture. I did make cupcakes for his teachers and bring cookies and candy for his class, so maybe there was a little redemption in that, but then we bailed on trick-or-treating yesterday and just hung out at home instead.
I thought he might be a little too young and have more fun passing out candy but then we got very few trick-or-treaters (well, there was one giant family where every single person was trick-or-treating, including the 40 years old, I have no explanation for that whatsoever), so if you asked Kyle anything about Halloween he might look at you confused.
Ask him about candy, instead. He learned about that when I introduced him to Kit-Kats from our bowl of candy.
He approved.
Despite not having a single cute-kid-in-a-costume picutre to show you, it was a really nice weekend. We just hung out, spent time together, played outside, went to Target, and made each other laugh.
I hope your weekend was nice too, however and wherever you chose to celebrate it!
